SUMMARY:Making Memories Last: The Importance of Legacy Work Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Legacy work are activities that help people feel connected to one another\, even when they are physically apart.  The purpose of legacy work is to initiate reflection and sharing of memories.  It is a practice that can often bring comfort to those dealing with chronic illness\, long hospitalizations\, or end-of-life. It involves purposefully creating something for the people you love and care about\, and in this way\, it isn’t about death and dying\, it’s about life and living. \nJoin us to explore more about the value of legacy work\, who should do it\, and when. Participants will also gain practical ideas and activities for completing legacy work. \nThis program is presented by Bethell Hospice Social Worker Kaylen Leonienco\, and is offered in partnership with the Caledon Public Library. Register online at cpl.social/Bethell \nFor more information\, contact Caledon Public Library at 905-857-1400 or reference@caledon.library.on.ca

SUMMARY:Palliative Care Myth Busting Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Many people think palliative care is all about dying. It is actually about living more than it is about dying. Many also think that palliative care is only provided at end of life. Actually\, \npalliative care is an approach which can be initiated right at the time of a serious illness diagnosis\, and can be provided for years. \nThis webinar discusses many of the myths about palliative care through engaging conversation and discussion of the palliative care supports available in our community. \nThis program is presented by Bethell Hospice Social Workers Kaylen Leonienco\, MSW RSW and Carlie Fink\, MSW RSW\, and is offered in partnership with the Caledon Public Library. For more information\, contact Caledon Public Library at 905-857-1400. Register online at: https://cpl.social/PalliativeCareMythbusting
